I knew this would happen, there’s no way it couldn’t. So here’s the follow up to the Clinton story yesterday.
Here’s the article
‘Now let me tell you what I can remember, OK — because what I was told was that we had to land a certain way and move quickly because of the threat of sniper fire. So I misspoke — I didn’t say that in my book or other times but if I said something that made it seem as though there was actual fire — that’s not what I was told. I was told we had to land a certain way, we had to have our bulletproof stuff on because of the threat of sniper fire. I was also told that the greeting ceremony had been moved away from the tarmac but that there was this 8-year-old girl and, I can’t, I can’t rush by her, I’ve got to at least greet her — so I greeted her, I took her stuff and then I left, Now that’s my memory of it’
I see what you did here, it’s what you remember now…very interesting indeed. Now I’m only going to pose the question, because it’s hard to make out in the picture, and in the video it’s also hard to tell (though Chelsey has her coat open and doesn’t appear to have a vest on). Do you think they’re covering from alleged sniper fire, or acting in any way as if there might be a threat?
But you know, I get that same response from my kids when faced with knowing I know there’s a lie, errr when they misspeak. It’s the same issue as before with room cleaning.
Dad: “Are you sure you cleaned your room completely, I’ll come down and check if you’re ready”
Kid: “Well, I think it’s clean. I don’t remember, let me go check again”
But what even more fun is that she’s acting like her husband. He didn’t have sex, and she dodged bullets. I know they’re not the only ones, but seriously is it any wonder that our children have such a hard time with role models. Who do they look up to? Celeberties, Athletes, Politicians? It’s only a lie if you’re caught, and then it’s misspoken or the word doesn’t mean what the widely excepted definition is.
I’m glad she was able to clear it all up though. She merely misspoke and it’s all better!
