This summer has been rather wet and cold. But that’s been a good thing I think. It’s kept that horrid sun from baking our garden and kept us from having to use a ton of water to keep our garden growing. In fact I don’t think we’ve had to really water it more then I have fingers on one of my hands.
But how’s it holding up?
Well let’s look at see.
There’s a flower on the strawberries! If it actually works, this will be our first real batch of them. I really hope so, maybe we can make some jam (like we’ll get that many..hahaha). It’s still neat though, and if I’m lucky I’ll actually get one this year. Those kids pick everything before I get home from work.

For the past few years we’ve been going to the zoo at least once. This we added something a little extra to the day. We thought we’d take a bit of tie and check out the free tour at Mrs. Cavanough’s chocolate factory and see what’s it’s all about.
We were scheduled for a 10 am tour of the factory and actually made it to SLC with about 10 minutes to spare. We got in and they took us upstairs where a couple of pieces of chocolate were waiting for us (SWEET! and I mean that both ways). They had us watch a movie about the history of the Cavanoughs and chocolate (Montezuma would drink 50 cups of bitter chocolate drink!). As a treat, anyone that thinks we’re loosing touch with our Constitution and our government is overgrown it’s role will love the end of the movie.
